On June 27, 2013, The Aboriginal Peoples Choice Music Awards (APCMA) of Canada has nominated Minnesota’s Chase Manhattan for “Best Rap/HipHop CD & Best Album Cover Design” in recognition of his dedication to his music career.
This is Chase’s first year being nominated. “Being nominated for these awards proves that all my hard work is paying off. I am very thankful for everyone’s support and grateful for this nomination. Chase is a hiphop/rap performing artist, and CEO of Shanob Ent. based out of Minneapolis Minnesota. His music is influenced by his big brother and Native American heritage. His 2010 release (Tribal Tribulation) has, received the NAMA for “Best Hip Hop/Rap recording”. Off his 2010 awardwinning album, he also receives the 2011 “Outstanding Album Single of the Year” for “The Original 2 Step” from the North American Indigenous Image Awards. With these nominations, Chase will gain the international recognition that many artists strive to obtain.
The Aboriginal Peoples Choice Music Awards highlight the best Aboriginal music from across North America and around the world. Hosted in Winnipeg, Manitoba, Canada, the festival draws people from across Canada, the United States and abroad. The impact of the festival reaches well beyond entertainment: it has communicated a very significant message about the importance of celebrating Aboriginal culture.
