Overwhelming Majority of Principal Chief Candidates Endorse George Tiger for Chief

On October 10th, 2011, four opponents in the Muscogee (Creek) Primary for Principal Chief endorsed George Tiger. They included Sam Alexander, Wilson Bear, Alfred Berryhill, and Bert Robison, who have released a strong endorsement letter.

“He exhibits all the qualities of a great leader of the Muscogee (Creek) Nation… He knows the necessity of making major decisions which benefit all citizens, even if it may not be popular,” stated all four candidates in a letter. All of the candidates have held various leadership positions within the Muscogee (Creek) Nation. To read the entirety of the letter, please see attached.

After the results of the September 17th General Election were reported, the numbers showed that George Tiger and Mike Flud would be the two candidates vying for the position of Principal Chief of the Muscogee (Creek) Nation, the fourth largest Tribe in the nation. The General Election will be held on Saturday, November 5th, 2011.
